Terms and Conditions for Annual Membership to PD Academia’s Online Community:

Introduction
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for becoming an annual member of PD Academia’s Peer Learning Community (the “Community”).

Membership
Annual Membership to the Community is open to any individual who is 18 years or older. To become a member of the Community, you must register on the Community website and create an account as per the instructions. The annual fees for membership to the Community, as outlined on the Community website, will apply.

Refund policy
If notice of membership cancellation is received:

  • 30+ days pre-event: 80% of fee is refundable
  • 15-29 days pre-event: 40% of fee is refundable
  • Less than 15 days pre-event: no refund

“Event” means the first Community live session in the annual program. Participants who commence but do not complete the full annual program (withdrawing part way through) will not be granted any refund. Any free places purchased will be cancelled first. Free places cancelled are non-refundable. If any of the 5 Community live sessions are cancelled, PD Academia will strive to reschedule them. In the event that a live session cannot be rescheduled, PD Academia will will issue a prorated refund per cancelled session.

Membership substitution
You may request substitution of a membership with another employee of the same school and this will be processed at no cost.

Renewal
Members will be required to renew their membership each year to continue accessing the benefits associated with membership in the Community. If the member fails to renew their membership, access to benefits will be suspended until they renew their membership

Termination
Memberships may be terminated by PD Academia at any time, without notice, for any reason. If a membership is terminated before the end of the membership period, PD Academia will issue a prorated refund based on the remaining live sessions left in the membership period.

Member Conduct
Members of the Community agree to adhere to all rules and regulations outlined in this document and any terms of service agreements associated with the platform used to access the Community. Members agree to use the Community solely for its intended purpose and not to engage in any behavior that is malicious, harassing, or abusive in nature. PD Academia reserves the right to terminate any membership immediately without refund in case of violation of these rules.

Privacy
PD Academia takes privacy seriously and complies with data protection laws as outlined in our privacy policy. Personal information collected by the Community will be used solely for the purpose outlined in this document and will not be shared with any third party without the member’s explicit consent.

Limitation of Liability
PD Academia will not be held liable for any damages caused directly or indirectly by the use of the Community platform or its contents. PD Academia is not liable for any errors, omissions, or any loss or damage of any kind arising from the use of the online platform.

Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong SAR, China (Hong Kong), and any dispute arising out of or related to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hong Kong SAR, China (Hong Kong).
