Wellbeing

Generative and collaborative Peer Learning Community for Wellbeing

Teaching internationally brings together a wide range of cultures, beliefs and experiences, however, an agreed common denominator of why we teach is always β€˜the student comes first’ and in particular student wellbeing. However, have we fallen into a trap of trying to β€˜fix’ students when it comes to their wellbeing rather than tackle the underlying context in which they are operating day in and day out; the school environment? Through this community, we will explore the range of barriers and enablers each community faces, review Helen Street’s Model of Contextual Well-being, and engage in appreciative inquiry to develop both short-term and long-term steps to maintain, support and improve the well-being of your whole community.
