Social and Emotional Counseling

This community invites School Counsellors to learn and grow together in a supportive and warm  environment. School counsellors will benefit from the collective knowledge of the group in different areas including planning and implementing a comprehensive school counselling programme, case consultations, caseload management, logistical and practical aspects like informed consent, scope and limits of client confidentiality particularly with minors in a school setting, processes and formats for case notes and record keeping and data management, keeping abreast of latest developments in ethical best practice and professional development among many others This is also a forum to discuss cases you’d like to brainstorm and have access to guidance and support from colleagues. This community aims to be a caring companion to each of its members and will also focus on work-life balance and self-care for the carers!

Meet the Host:

Supriya Kotwal-Mahajan

Supriya Kotwal-Mahajan is a counsellor and art therapist practising in International Schools in Singapore for over a decade. Supriya has a Masters in Counselling with a specialisation in CBT and a Masters in Art Therapy with a Psychodynamic focus. Currently Supriya is the Head of Wellbeing Counselling at SJI International School in Singapore and leads a team of counsellors supporting over a 1000 high school students. Supriya is trained as a facilitator for the Positive Parenting Programme and Tuning into Kids and Teens programme as well as the suicide intervention programme ASIST. As a host Supriya is looking forward to providing a caring and nurturing forum on the PeerSphere platform!
