This participant-driven gathering is an opportunity to connect in-person, share practices, and explore common professional inquiries.
Spend an energising Saturday afternoon connecting with TAs from across Singapore to trade ideas, try quick-win strategies, and build a support network that lasts beyond the event. Across three focused breakout rooms you’ll explore smoother teacher-TA collaboration, proven classroom-management routines, and student-support techniques you can roll out on Monday morning. Expect short demos, peer discussion, and plenty of time to swap what works in real classrooms so you leave recharged, confident, and ready to make an even bigger impact.

Henry worked in three international schools and two bilingual schools with student populations ranging from 250 to 1300. His responsibility in the international schools was to oversee and provide leadership for non-academic functions. He is also the author of “Preparing Host Country Support Staff for their Roles in International Schools“.

We’ll also create some handy sentence starters together, making it easier to spark positive and helpful conversations to help every student thrive and succeed!

Standards vs. Agency
This session will aim to tackle the complex intersection of adhering to curricular standards and fostering student agency. During this collaborative forum we will confront the perceived dichotomy between meeting grade-level standards and nurturing an environment where students exercise choice and take charge of their learning. Through our discussion, we will hope to uncover practical strategies for designing assessments and learning experiences that both align with required outcomes and empower students to pursue their interests and passions.

In the event of cancellation of a conference, workshop or online PD program, we will fully refund the registration or sponsorship fee(s) paid. However, we will be unable to refund any travel, visa or accommodation expenses incurred or course material fees where access has been granted.
