Technology and AI are powerful tools, but they're not a magic solution. The Tech/AI in the Classroom community empowers you to use these tools effectively to unlock student potential. This collaborative space fosters connections with educators who are thoughtfully integrating technology into their teaching. We'll look into responsible and impactful uses of AI, explore strategies for fostering critical thinking alongside technology use, and discover resources that equip you to navigate the ever-evolving EdTech landscape. Join us and ensure technology becomes a springboard for deeper learning, not a replacement for human connection in the classroom!

Meet Your Hosts
Catherine Ellis
Catherine has over 26 years of experience working in education, 10 of which have been in Senior Leadership positions both in the UK and Malaysia. Currently, she is employed as Assistant Principal (Teaching & Learning) at St. Joseph’s Institution International School in Malaysia, where she has been since 2019. As well as being incredibly passionate about teaching & learning and CPD (particularly the symbiotic relationship between the two), she has taken a more active interest in the development of AI over recent years, both in terms of reducing workload for staff and enhancing the classroom experience for students. She also actively contributes to organizations such as WISE and WomenEd Malaysia to help empower and support more future female leaders in international schools.
Lindsey Watts
Lindsey is an early childhood educator known for her innovative use of AI as a “digital colleague” to enhance teaching, streamline documentation, and build stronger school–home connections. With over a decade of international experience across China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, and California, she currently teaches at Changchun American International School in the IB PYP framework. She holds advanced degrees in Education and Early Childhood Studies and is passionate about play-based, inquiry-driven learning inspired by Reggio Emilia. In addition to her classroom work, Lindsey coaches colleagues, leads professional workshops, and facilitates parent sessions, helping others explore how developmentally appropriate technology can empower both educators and young learners.
