Planning in a More Complex Environment
International schools in China are navigating a more complex operating environment.
Enrolment patterns are shifting unevenly between cities, family demographics are changing, competition is increasing, government policies are changing and confidence can be affected quickly by local economic conditions, staffing pressures, school closures, government regulations and wider uncertainty.
The ACAMIS Directors Forum will bring Heads of School together for a half-day, in-person professional learning forum focused on the same central question:
How can Heads of School lead with clarity, resilience, and evidence when regulatory and market conditions are changing?
From Regional Discussion to Continued Collaboration
The purpose is not only to meet once, but to create the conditions for continued collaboration.
During each forum, Directors will form small Affinity Groups of 3 to 4 people around topics of shared interest. These groups will continue meeting at their own convenience after the event to explore a specific issue more deeply.
Each group will later share what they have learned in a virtual ACAMIS community meeting.
Possible Affinity Group topics may include city-level market intelligence, parent confidence, school positioning, staffing models, programme choices, local government relationships, and leading through contraction or change.

Guided individual reflection and peer discussion to help Directors connect insights to their own school context.
Synthesis and Connection
High-level sharing of insights, clear commitments and next steps, followed by a social networking reception to continue conversations informally.
