In today’s evolving educational landscape, teaching assistants play a vital role that often goes unseen, but never unfelt. Their influence is reflected in the small, consistent actions that shape student experiences, support teachers, and strengthen school communities.

The 9th annual Teaching Assistants Conference (TAC), jointly organized by PeerSphere and International Schools Services, embraces the theme “Quiet Impact, Powerful Presence: Teaching Assistants Leading from Within.” This year’s conference recognizes that leadership is not defined by title, but by intention, presence, and everyday practice. It also recognizes that meaningful impact is developed over time—through continual learning, reflection, and small, consistent improvements in daily practice.

Through this theme, we invite teaching assistants to reflect on their professional identity, strengthen their voice, and deepen the impact they bring to their roles, confidently and authentically.

Designed for Teaching Assistants

This virtual conference is designed for teaching assistants, co-teachers, and non-teaching support staff working in international and bilingual school settings. Teachers who collaborate closely with TAs will also find the sessions highly relevant.

Now in its 9th year, TAC continues to bring together a global community of practitioners, offering a space to learn, connect, and grow across three languages: English, Chinese, and Spanish. Sessions will be delivered in English and Chinese during the China time zone, and in English and Spanish during the Eastern Standard Time sessions.

Submit a Proposal

Are you ready to share your expertise? We are looking for practical workshops (45 min) delivered in English, Chinese, or Spanish.

You're welcome to co-present with your homeroom teacher or your teaching assistant.

Nominate a Colleague

Know a TA/teacher who deserves a global stage? School leaders and peers can nominate staff members whose "Quiet Impact" inspires those around them.

How it works: Give us their details, and we will reach out to them to invite them to present and offer our support.
