About the Conference
The ACAMIS Student Leadership Conference on Technology Leadership brings together students and faculty advisers who are interested in how technology can improve learning, communication, creativity, and school life.
This one-day, in-person conference is designed for school teams of up to 5 students and 1 to 2 faculty advisers. Schools will attend as teams, with students taking an active role in sharing challenges, presenting ideas, and shaping future action.
Technology leadership is not only about using tools. It is about making thoughtful decisions, supporting peers, asking responsible questions, and helping schools adapt to change.
The Central Question
How can students lead the responsible and creative use of technology in school?
Students will explore topics such as artificial intelligence, digital citizenship, student tech support, media creation, data use, online behaviour, and the role of student voice in technology decisions.

Intended Outcomes
By the end of the conference, participating teams will:
Identify opportunities for technology to improve learning, communication, creativity and school life
Explore responsible approaches to artificial intelligence, digital citizenship, data, privacy and online behaviour
Develop a practical idea for strengthening student technology leadership within their school
Consider how student voice can contribute to technology planning and decision-making
Build connections with peers who are navigating similar opportunities and challenges
Conference Journey
Before the Conference
Join two online sessions to explore the theme, share school experiences and help shape the conference content.
During the Conference
Take part in joint and separate student and faculty sessions, student presentations, team discussions and practical planning.
After the Conference
Submit a 60-90s video and join an online showcase to share what the team learned and how it will be applied in school.
