The MLL Workshop I Always Wanted: Colourful Semantics+Widgit+ThinkSRSD

This workshop has no fluff. It just introduces 3 powerful language scaffolding tools. “Colourful Semantics” for understanding language and creating sentences. “Widgit Online” for print accessibility and vocabulary development. “Think SRSD” as a research- and evidence-based writing framework. You will be able to see their value independently, as they are often introduced. But I will also show you how they can be used in combination to create a literacy development tool that benefits all language learners, no matter where they are on their language acquisition journey. Attendees will be able to 1) see how they could easily implement these scaffolds immediately with common classroom resources to 2) to recognize subscription programs that they could propose their school invest in for literacy development.
